Installation

It threads onto a standard US shower arm by hand. If you rent, it comes back off the same way on moving day and your old head goes back exactly where it was.

Counter-clockwise, by hand. If it is stiff, a cloth for grip is all it takes.

Will it fit my shower?
It threads onto a standard US shower arm, which is what almost every house and apartment has. If your shower is handheld, it screws onto the hose the same way.
Do I need tools or a plumber?
No. You unscrew the old head counter-clockwise by hand and thread this one on clockwise. It takes about a minute, and it comes back off the same way if you rent and need to put the original back.
What does the filter actually do?
The PP cotton cartridge in the handle catches rust, sand and sediment that your pipes carry into the water. It is a sediment filter. It does not treat what is dissolved in your water, and we are not going to tell you it does.
How often do I replace the cartridge?
It depends entirely on your water. The cartridge is visible when you open the handle, so you can see it darken rather than guess. Replacement cartridges are coming to the store shortly — if you want to be told when, reply to your order confirmation and we will let you know.
